About us

The National Institute for the Advancement of Education is a semi‑autonomous unit housed at the UNLV College of Education that works with faculty, students, and education practitioners to conduct research into innovative education practices.

The Institute works to identify and disseminate next‑generation practices in urban education and PK‑20 educator preparation by exploring education innovations that serve as models nationally and internationally, leveraging the rich diversity of our communities.

Executive Director (Vacant)

The Executive Director role is currently unfilled as the Institute initiates its search process. The Institute remains committed to advancing educator pipelines, adult workforce development, and related initiatives. During this transition, Institute operations continue under the leadership of the UNLV College of Education.
